The Institut de Chimie de Toulouse (ICT-UAR 2599) celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2024.

To celebrate this event, a scientific day is organized on September 26, 2024 at the University of Toulouse III - Paul Sabatier.

The Toulouse molecular chemistry community will be present at the event. With a human potential of over 500 people, including 350 permanent staff, this community is federated in the Toulouse Chemistry Institute, which brings together six chemistry laboratories (LCA, LCC, LHFA, PharmaDev, Softmat, SPCMIB) and two chemistry teams present in physics laboratories (CEMES and LPCNO). The scientific activities of the research teams cover all areas of molecular chemistry, from very fundamental studies to the most applied aspects, and actions at the interfaces with other disciplines such as physics and biology. The ICT (UAR 2599 - CNRS - Université Toulouse III) has pioneered the pooling of medium-heavy equipment, which is made available to the entire scientific community.

On the occasion of this scientific day, a presentation of the ICT and its laboratories will be offered; a focus will be given to research results resulting from collaborations between these laboratories. All the molecular characterization and physicochemical property study capabilities present within the analysis platforms associated with the ICT and its laboratories will be presented.

Time will be given to the youngest of our colleagues (doctoral students, post doctoral students) within the framework of flash oral presentation sessions and poster presentations. The five best posters of this presentation will be rewarded.

Finally, conferences from industrialists, ICT alumni (doctoral students and post-doctoral students), will present their career paths and provide an overview of the R&D landscape in Occitanie and the opportunities both in terms of outlets (jobs for our students, innovation and collaboration projects).

This day will also be an opportunity to inaugurate the installation of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance equipment recently acquired within the ICT as part of the State Region Plan Contract 2021-2027, in the presence of the authorities who participated to the financing of the latter.

This event will provide an opportunity for local meetings between academic and industrial partners, provide inspiration for future collaborations, and reinforce the structuring of a supportive, high-performance community.

Registration is free but compulsory.
